1210 SERIES MK 1: Back 2 Basics are one of the leading labels for drum & bass in the U.K. They are from the West Midlands and still ruling the underground sound since five years. This was one of the first jungle-twelves with a distinctive jazz-feel ever.

TORTOISE: sure - a little bit outstanding tune on this compilation, but the one and only indie-liveband, who are experimental fresh. They are fusing indie-rock, jazz and sublime analogue-synthie-noises. They are one of the most interesting bands of the late Nineties comin' from the States (Chicago).
µ-ZIG: Some people say: Michael Paradinas is god! He is also Jake Sleazenger or Jedi Knights (Clear), he is working with Aphex Twin and Black Dog. He is one of the true innovators in techno- and trip-land. And he is always ahead of our time. This track was made in 1993.
