Salvador Group Side A: 45rpm Side B: 33rpm After their great debut track "Crosswinds" which came out on "Future Sounds Of Jazz" Vol.7 in summer 2000, the Salvador Group now are releasing their first 12" on Compost Records. The two members Florian Hartl and Julian Fischer, both natives of Bavaria, first met at Michael Reinboth's resident clubnight Into Somethin' in Munich. Realising they both had an interest in the same sounds and the desire to produce their own music, Florian and Julian found themselves in the studio together for the first time. It was from this first studio session, that the Salvador Group was born. Their musical influences include artists like Jazzanova, Carl Craig, As One, and Photek, to name a few. Side A of the 12" features the track "The Moon Is High" which is a wonderful odyssey through uplifting beats, deep atmospheric sounds and some lovely piano tones. The Salvador Group also made a contribution to the Compost 100 compilation called "Moksa", another excellent track. Press quotes: "The cinematic beauty of the Salvador Group's "Crosswinds" impresses..." (Beats & Breaks, autumn 2000) "...savour the higher-ground atmospherics of ... Salvador Group's "Crosswinds"." (Straight No Chaser, autumn 2000)
