Move D is David Moufang, head and owner of Source Records, Heidelberg (RO 70, Rob Gordon Project, Reagenz). He already contributed to the Future Sound of Jazz - Vol. 3 and is now presenting his first release on Compost records.

Move D is an intricately woven collage of computerised soul lo-tech pick-pocking drum machine-swing with space shuttle-sounds simply unique and brilliant! The sound is too funky to be ambient and too ambient to be just another subliminal techno outfit. MixMag described Move D’s music as follows: This is the soundtrack for sci-fi films of your dreams, the sound of Derrick May making music at zero gravity or Mr. Fingers recording on a water bed full of strawberries.

Move D acclaimed international cult-status through the track "Amazing Discoveries" and the album "Kunststoff". He also recorded an EP for Warp. His electro-freestyle if you want to classify Move D at all invited well-known artist to do a remix-version of his track "Hurt Me" for Compost. On the new 12inch you can find remix-work by famous freestyler Bedouin Ascent (former Rising High), Morgan Geist from New Jersey who already released on the Londoner Clear label and runs is own label Environ and the Berlin-based Elektronische Wohlfahrt. Watch out for upcoming Move D releases on Compost.
