True genius producers, DJs and analogue live performers are rarely recognized in their own time frame, but to many Patrick Pulsinger is one – insofar he is not busy repairing or driving his amazing tuned old school car park including rare BMWs and other treasures.

He himself would surely not claim being genius, but to those of us who have been touched by his music few could argue. Remember “Claire”, “City Lights” and his “Dogmatic Sequenzes” series, remember all his cliquety klingklong and dirty funky but eerie techno records on Cheap, MoWax, Ferox, Disko B or R&S. A CD with all those classics will be released on Disko B very soon.
Patrick has such a freestyle-anything-goes-attitude (but in the right direction), variety influence and diversity in his music, while maintaining a true recognizable Pulsinger style – just like on this EP. Lodown Magazine even quoted him as “the most charming man in the coolest techno world”. No wonder, that his old stuff is still up to date, sounding totally fresh especially to younger DJs who were wearing diapers when “Claire” came out.
His freestyle attitude but in the first place his long term ability and know how as a producer and engineer was leading finally into his amazing “Feedback Studio” in Vienna (http://www.feedback-studio.com), where he recently recorded stuff for G.Rizo, Ferox, Louie Austen, Fats Comet Crew or the Sugarhill Gang(sters) Doug Wimbish, Keith LeBlanc and many others.
Here on this Compost Black Label 12inch he teams up with Snax from Cpt. Comatose in a crunchy Prince-style body snatcher and with electronic music crooner G.Rizo from Codek and the Gigolo camp, whereas Patrick Pulsinger have produced a few songs for her forthcoming album on Gigolo, too.
So guess no problem to drive on the Utopia Parkway on the right side!
