Title: Lowrider / Lowrider (Motor Remix)
Cat No: ANGST007-1
Format: 7″ / Download

Quotes:

Info: Drinks and drugs, noise, sickness… welcome to The Crack Whore Society! Descending from the Punk and Hardcore scene of the early 90s the mission of this Berlin based band can now clearly be defined as ADDICTIVE ROCK MUSIC! The guys around Frontsau Patrick Schauer have just finished the recording sessions of their self-titled debut album which will be released on Angora Steel in late Summer 2007. The outcome are 14 songs in only 35 minutes – fast, hard, on point! The raw production was done by T.Raumschmiere (Shitkatapult/Mute) who left his monstertruck in the parking lot to get into the driver’s seat behind the Crack Whore boards. The final touch was contributed by Christian Vogel (another former techno legend and part of  Super Collider alongside Jamie Lidell) who is responsible for the mastering of the sound. The band itself consists of Mario Bender (guitare), Kai Mohr (guitare) and . . . →

Like he proved before on the first Angora Steel release “You really got me” Rob Turnover, the alter ego of legendary Jazz / Downbeat / D&B-Producer “Minus 8” from Switzerland, has disco punk in his bones…. Returning to Turnover’s musical roots such as Rock, Metal, Punk, Electro this 12″ will rock the floor big time. Two different versions of “Jimmy The Cat” with catchy basslines and oldschool synthie-sounds featuring bad boy Jo Nasty make you smile and groove at the same time…try it out Also on the flipside you find “Recht Schlecht” mixing electro, disco and punk with a little bit of “Yello” (Hihihi also swiss cheese) spice – turn up the volume and . . . →

Martin Peter`s album “Enough Of This?!” on ANGORA STEEL has been a brill  piece of “Electro Pogo shit which was bloody fun for everyone” (Spex) ever since its release. The “Electro-Overkill” (Schallplattenmann) will carry on with some amazing remixes of the track ‘Psychoville” feat. Mark Stewart.
The first track was treated by the upcoming duo Digitalism. Already known for their pogo-orientated dj sets, their first single “Idealistic” on KITSUNÉ made quite a buzz and has been kicked by DJs like Kid Alex, Moonbootica, Martini Brös or Boris Dlugosch. Here they go again with a rocking remix of “Psychoville”. You also should look out for their remixes for Munk “Disco Clown”(Gomma) and Sono “A New Cage” (Pias).

Rob Turnover – You Really Got Me

Artist: Rob Turnover
Title: You Really Got Me feat. Gwendolyn Rich /  You Really Got Me feat. U
Cat No: ANGST001-1
Format: 7″

Quotes:

Info:

`You really got me´
Desperate for a hit in 1964, an obscure band named the Kinks slashed up a cheap guitar amp with a razor blade. When the Kinks released “You Really Got Me” in their native England on August 4, 1964, it was a classic make-or-break moment. Ray Davies had composed “You Really Got Me” in the front room of his parents’ house in Fortis Green, with help from his brother. They wanted the song to be the kind of showstopper that would make audiences dance and go wild, and set out to make it repetitive, “like an African tribal chant.” And as we know history – their wish came true.

Rob Turnover.
Actually he is someone notorious but on the other hand (that is, after listening to this record) we will see him in a different pair of . . . →

Tigerbeat – Beat Me ´Till I Understand

Artist: Tigerbeat
Title: Beat Me ´Till I Understand
Cat No: ANGST002-1
Format: 12″ / Download

Quotes:

Info: You don’t need to be beaten to unconsciousness ’till you understand that this new remix EP by Tigerbeat kicks ass. Charming, hip-rocking beauties Tigerbeat, who’re normally unleashing their incurable sexiness on Buback Records, gracefully dedicated material from their latest album “13 Songs“ for this remix mash-up. So now they’re causing ructions on Angora Steel with this 12”… and they will beat some senses into you indeed, if only with their choice of raging remixers! At the very first take on „Beat Me ’Till I Understand“ it´s all in the family. Ladomat Label mate Ascii.Disko not only brought this EP’s cover collage to life but also contributed producing skills to Tigerbeat’s last album “13 Songs“. And when it comes to entertainment, the whole world is a stage for the congenial man-machine: remixes for Josh Wink and Cielo are an undeniable proof!  You can tell playing after show sets for Björk hasn’t . . . →
