Steppah Huntah

BIOGRAPHY

Steppah Huntah: Steven-J developed his production skills over quite a long period of time experiencing from old & new styles, Dance, Funk, Jazz and Urban Music. He collaborated with many musicians and djs and learned to master the doublebass, which allowed him to play what he adores and helped him reinforce his musical culture. Oless T., originally from Russia, began to play the piano at the age of 5 and attended classical training up until her 15th birthday. The discovery of her countries popular music led to her decision, to take part in the professional world of music. In 1993, she composed her first Pop Jazz album and started to play outside of her country. In her multiple journeys and tours through Europe, she decided to continue her musical experience in Strasbourg (France) in a Jazz club where she then met Steven-J. They’ve worked together since, playing in bands (essentially Jazz-Funk, Salsa, Samba, Folk) and producing their own music, both under the strong influence of Electronic Music (especially the Electronic Dance Music from England and the evolution of Acid Jazz). This center of interest determined the musical direction of the “STEPPAH HUNTAH”.
