Info: El Freakadell is the new project founded by Enzo Elia (Baleraric Gabba Sound System) and Roskow Kretschmann (Jazzanova, Sygaire, Kosma, Modegg). Due to their musical background those two guys from Berlin do what they do best: trademark quality music. The orginal disco version „I´ve Got You“. rings in with the traditional disco percussions in combination with above shake´n hi-hats, and the appearance of the ingenuous strings and an outstanding soul voice. The house version combines a rubber roll deep house chord with a laid back atmosphere.
Enzo Elia – born in Italy – never was a huge fan of football. When all the other kids were kicking the ball in a back alley he developed a certain addiction for 12“. So he spent most of his time jumping between record stores and his turntables always chasing the latest Italo Disco and Motown rhythms. In 2004 he began to produce his own tracks and since his underground hit „Touch“ on Hell Yeah (which was well respected by Carl Cox, Kenny Larkin, Osunlade, Dj Hell and Sasse) productions for Lion1 and Be As One and remixes for Roland Clark, Oliver Koletzky and Umek were following. Recently Enzo Elia released another fine 12inch on Hell Yeah called „September Scary EP“.
In 1983 for Roskow everything was about breakdance. Inspired by the big hip hop wave which flooded Europe back then he formed the Empire State Breakers with his best friends. These early experiences led to the founding of Juiceful Records in 1992. An even bigger impact on his career as a DJ and producer was his time at the Delicious Doughnuts Club in Berlin, where he met Alex Barck, Jürgen von Knoblauch and Claas Brieler. Infected by their mixture of old and new music he founded a trip hop fusion project Kosma. After producing the first Delicious Doughnuts Compilation Vol.1 these guys formed Jazzanova and not much later the remarkable label Sonar Kollektiv in 2001. In 2005 Roskow started under his old graffiti alter ego Sygaire releasing inspiring clubmusic. Sygaire puts out a mixture of boogie, electro, hip hop, soul, funk, afro, cuban, caribbean, for example on Phil Darimont´s Label Room
With A View („MONO:POLY EP“) or on OM Records „The Latest“. Recently Roskow founded another moniker called Mudegg, so better check the V.A. EP „Disco in Distress Part 1“ (Amplified / Clone).
