Info: Audio chemistry with B-Boy energy: Studio R is at it again. After their first single “Clapz“ (Sonarkollektiv/SK068), which was a twisted peace of electro-hop with some loony-ass rhymes courtesy of canadian expert Mocky including great remixes by Trickski and Leroy & Darnell (Member of the Trick), Studio R return with their second single “A+R“. This time on the vocal tip, it is San Franciso based Capitol A, known for collaborations with King Britt, Jazzanova or Ben Mono to name just a few. Freah remix material comes from F-Communications artist Llorca (remember his reference debit album “Newcomer”), Composts own Ben Mono (watch out for his new album in spring 2007!) and disco funkster DJ Friction straight outta Benztown. The two heads behind Studio R are Rocky Flanger & Shir Khan. While Rocky Flanger prefers to stay at home, Shir Khan’s diverse DJ-sets have connected him to a wide range of events and promoters. URB Magazine recently featured Shir Khan for their prestigious „URB Next 100“ list of the year’s hottest DJs in 2006. If it’s at his monthly residency 103 Club in Berlin, or hosting Ninja Tunes finest, or playing at Vice Magazines hipster parties in the coolest venues, Shir Khan always feels the moment and gets the crowd freaking.
